i recently purchased two sets(pairs) of L112 crossovers, is anyone familiar with the two types , is one better then the other ,it seems they are identical with the exception that one has a larger inducter then the other ,actually it looks that one inducter is 4 times the size , i did swap out the xover in a L110 for the L112 xover ,it seemed to make a difference, but would like to know what the issue is with two types of L112 xovers .
thanks michael

At different times JBL used a small iron core or a large air core 2.5mH inductor in the L96/L112/L150A network. DCR is roughly the same for both. The air core is considered the better component.

Are these still available from JBL? Or is this a "go to parts express with DCR and mH value in hand".

Pick up a good 16 AWG air core. It should have roughly the same DCR.
