Control 18S

Hi - Does anyone have any experience with the Control 18S subwoofer?

I'm thinking of getting one for the garage to go with my Control 1's, but I'm not sure if it's internal crossover sums the bass to mono and allows a stereo output to the highs, or if it is just a single channel crossover. The JBL spec sheet reads as if it's just a single channell, but doesn't say for sure.http://audioheritage.org/vbulletin/images/smilies/dont-know.gif

If it's intended for just mono use (like for a restaurant), I'll have to get two.

Control Sub-2 will give you both channels. It uses a dual voice coil 10" woofer. There's wall/corner brackets for it as well. Nice system. Plays lower, too:

Thanks for the link. The JBL tent sale has a bunch of 18S-WH for about $145 each. I have a chance to get two new 18S (one white, one black) for $70 each from a local installer (I should have said this up front). The Control 2 looks great, but I think I may not be able to pass up on this price for the 18S.

So maybe I should get the both of them and use one for each channel? I can paint the white one black, since it's just so I can rock in the garage.
