I was wondering if anyone here knows where I can find a detailed drawing (with dimensions) of a Paragon? I have looked on this site and cannot seem to find any.

Thanks:bouncy:

Aside from the obvious real estate that a paragon occupies, would it be practical to devise or design (or redisgn) a Paragon based on updated more readily available drivers? ( this q has prolly been asked B 4, but what the hay...)

HM,

The major challenge of the Ranger-Paragon enclosure [1] is building it. There is also a large potential for improving its performance if it is scaled to slightly larger proportions, different drivers are used, and an electronic c/o with delay is employed to resolve acoustic path length differences.

So far, preliminary work has been directed towards the design of a larger elliptical mid-range horn. The plan is to experiment with the JBL 2485J [2] with c/o points shifted downward appropriately. Drivers for the bottom and top limits will probably be from TAD [3] unless JBL ‘K2’ components become readily available. Other driver candidates include those from Goto Unit [4] and ALE [5].

Regards,

WHG
