What is the difference between it and a LE10H-1:hmm:The LE10H/LE10H-1/LE111H has heavier moving mass, higher Bl factor, greater power handling capacity, stiffer suspension, slightly higher efficiency, slightly higher free air resonance, lower compliance, lower distortion due to the SFG ferrite motor, basically just a nice evolution of the design. The old LE111A was similar to the 124A/2203A in that it had a motor that was rediculously powerful.

I think I'd be interested in a couple of LE14A kits too, if for no other reason than as insurance. I know mine won't last forever, but then again, neither will I.

How many requests do they need to produce? And, how can we insure that we will be able to get a piece of the action?

( I now realize the source for a particular confusion - I didn't realize that the older le10a had a distinct recone kit. I suppose I had assumed it was the same as that other "white-faced" type ) :blink:

And,,, they are still making 3 ( 10" ) types available - that's awfully supportive of them .

p.s. Do you have an opinion on the merits or drawbacks that would occur when marrying the lowest Qts kit ( C8RLE111A ) into a ferrite-magnet motor assembly ?

Do you have an opinion on the merits or drawbacks that would occur when marrying the lowest Qts kit ( C8RLE111A ) into a ferrite-magnet motor assembly ?If I remember correctly the LE111A had ~ 1 kHz less top end response and exhibited a low frequency shelf response. The top end response wasn't necessarily a bad thing and the low end shelf response could allow for system placement closer to boundaries.

I personally prefer the LE10H/LE10H-1/LE111H. One would have to determine which they preferred.
