From an Ebay auction for a pair of 033 tweeters:
"The dust covers had been pushed in at one time and were pulled back out using duct tape. Note that the dust covers, although an integral part of the speakers, serve no useful purpose other than protecting the voice coil and spider assembly from dust and other external elements. They have no impact on the sound and are cosmetic only."
I'm glad he explained that!
Now if he'd only tell what does makes the sound.:confused:
