I was playing with WinISD tonight and was modeling LE10 variants in a 1.6 cu ft box.
When I ran the LE10A I came up with the same port dimensions as Guido - 70mm dia x 236 mm length.
listed Fs for the LE10A is 30 Hz

When I ran the LE10H I came up with port dimensions of 80MM dia x 236 MM length.
Listed Fs is for the LE10H is 33Hz

Are my Fs parameters correct and should I set the port size accordingly or is something wrong with my calculations?

Where is the difference ? Only 3Hz in low response. The bigger port will be better.:)

Hi Hector

I think that you're confusing Fb with Fs.

If I do a simulated box model and use those two woofers Fs figures as my desired Fb ( the actual box tuning ) - I'll get port dimensions that jive quite closely with those that your program spit out for you .

Just my guess.

Are you building L96 clones? If so make sure you mirror image them and I can send you a couple of the ports.

Giskard's ports working very well. No wonder, they are originals ;)

I think you're right. That could be the error in my thinking, as I was tuning the box to be equivilant to the Fs of the speaker.

Looking at the enclosuer guides, I see the LE10A should use a 32Hz Fb. Something else to add to that FAQ.

Guido, Yes this is what I'm after. Check your PM box :bouncy:
