I am trying to remove the Passive Radiator off of recently acquired L220 since they need being refoamed but even tho I removed all the 8 screws the speaker won't move a bit, seems like glued.

I tried removing the Woofer as to then push the PR off the back but no success, even worse actually.

What can I try not to damage the front panel of the speaker?

Grazie

Giovanni

p.s. you can notice out of the attached pics that the ex owner had the front panel painted in black (even the rest of the cabinet has been painted, sigh, what a bad habit, if I manage to remove and refoam and fix the network next step would be to restore the cabinets to original conditions)

Use a thin blade paint scraper/spackle knife. Tap in under the frame to gently pry it up.

Ciao Rob,

thanks for the encouragement :) I made it, removed both the Woofer and the Passive, took also a measurement off the Woofer pins and there is continuity.

I am in the process of removing the last traces of foam off the passive frame, once done I will move on with the other speaker, this stuff is fun!
