All, is the 4641 cabinet identcal to to the 4645c cabinet ?
Dimensions / port diameter - lengt seem identical.
Difference is just the 2241 vs 2242 ?

Thanks so much !!
Would it make any sense to install the 2242 in the 4641 ?

For subwoofer use? Absolutely. The 4645c performs significantly better than the 4641.

Is there any other woofer that would work great in a 4641 cabinet ?
Any better better alternative to the 2241 /2242 ?

That one sure is expensive.
Any other woofer, Ciare ? RCF ? 18Sound ? Beyma ?
What would work well ?

Is there something the 2242 isn't doing for you?
You asked about a better driver, someone responded 2269 and you say it is too expensive. I don't, personally, know of a better driver in the 2242's price range for that cabinet.
I don't have a good answer, but wanted to add on to your question. I was curious if any members have used the RCF L18P300? I have the 4645C and it is nice, but was curious to experiment with this woofer. It is only $300. Will the holes line up exactly to fit in the JBL cabinet?
