Hi all, I have the opportunity to pick up a pair of 4320's from the original owner. Condition is unknown as is the price. I'm trying to determine how much effort I should put into this. What I'm wondering is if the 4320 will compare in sound to my ZD-007's, this is a DIY build that Zilch helped me with in 2007. My guess is that my ZD-007's and 4430's will outperform but I wanted to get some expert opinions. My thought is the 4320's will hold their value while my DIY project is really just worth what I can part them out with.

Below is a link to my build thread on AK. Warning it's long and they originally had LE14A's in them. They currently have:

LF are LE14-H3
CD are 2452H-SL
Waveguides are PT-F95HF
Barzilay Cabinets
X-Over is based on a 4430

I'd only pursue the 4320's if you are going to swap the woofs for 2216nds and do something similar to the HF (like you did in your current speakers ) .

IOW, gut the 4320's and start again ( using JBL's modern tech ).

Granted this nixes the whole concept of "investment".

Now there's an idea. I've never been really impressed with the construction and resonance of the Barzilay cabinets.

Any idea what a pair in average condition is worth?
