C8R117 8" recone

So does any know if the C8R117 recone kit will fit"corrctly "into the 166H basket

Bobco, the question may have been obscured by a missprint so that you meant 117H and 116H, which appear similar, including variants of the 116h which were used in 4408, 4408A etc, all have 2" voive coil, various details. I use an L86 as a center... the 116A may also be in play, modelling very low frequency response in large enclosure; See also T80
