2234H to 2235H

I have a pair of 2234Hs and the JBL mass rings to convert them to 2235s. What adhesive is recommended that is not sloppy and wil hold them in place?

I use LocTite #410 adhesive with #712 primer.

May I ask in which position these rings need to be installed exactly? At the inside or the outside of the coil former? Behind the cone or in front of it, beneath the dust cap?

Here's a unique look at the mass ring ( it mostly sits inside the top of the voice-coil former // hidden from view by the dust-cap ) .

It's ridged/stepped. making one part of it sit on-top of the voice-coil former // the top ridge prevents the ring from being located further down the V-C former.
