Hi Guys,

I am thinking about TRI or BI-amping my 4343's. I believe I need a JBL 5234A external crossover and the proper card. I am looking to buy one of these or...if any "techy" knows of another solution/crossover that will work for me, I'd appreciate the help. Let me know guys. Thank you in advance.

Any decent active crossover will do the job. Though the JBL/Urei crossover can take the card JBL made for bi-amping the 4343, there are better, cleaner active crossovers out there. Other designs are certainly more adjustable and versatile.
Once you set these 4343s up for bi-amping, you're in for a real treat!

Not me selling.

You'll have to make your own cards, but that's allegedly not difficult....

best crossover for the job is probably gonna be the DBX Driverack PA. It's everything you need from the crossover to the time allignment. does eqing and everything.

The above will do the job nicely. They can be had on Ebay for 200.00 or less. Having owned both the 5234A with 5145 cards in it and 2 Ashly's, the later is far superior.

Before buying the DBX unit you might do some searches here on this Forum. It has been discussed several times, both by those that use it and like it and those that tried it out and found it not to their liking.
