Thanks a lot for posting this.

John was a trained Musician, a highly respected Recording Engineer AND a trained Electrical Engineer!

Not too many people have such background. A pretty rare breed of fellow. He KNEW music, how its executed, recorded and, most important to us, its reproduction...

He was into everything sound: Microphones, Loudspeakers, Monitors, Sound Reinforcement, Cinema Sound, Sound System Design, Electroacoustics Reference Data, etc. He had it 360° or so.

But best of all no one at JBL has shared more of their immense technical knowledge with the public than John: JBL Seminars, books, magazine articles, JAES, JBL's own Sound System Design Reference Manual (with GA), etc.

He made it up to VP or Senior Director of Product Development and Applications at JBL.

Real sad that he passed away some years ago (RIP). Thank You John, on behalf of everyone.
