I was glad to find, in an old thread on this forum, a hyperlink to JBL's recommended crossover and EQ settings for the DMS-1 monitor.

http://www.jblpro.com/pages/tunings/dms1.pdf

For the EQ of the 2450SL-A driver with 2332 horn, the document specifies:

C2. Apply -1.5 dB at 3.24 kHz with a Bandwidth in Octaves of 0.25.

No problem there. But...

C1. Apply +10 dB at 8.28 kHz, with a Bandwidth in Octaves of 12 Hi.

I'd be grateful if anyone could tell me what "12 Hi" means! For bandwidth, my old Meyer Sound PEQ offers 0.1 to 1.1, but nothing like 12!

High Shelf 12dB I think, but 10dB is a high value, but aquaplast mades the diaphragm heavier, and then more horn roll of compensation is needed. Just set it up'and do a measurement to see if it is coherent

The answer to the question is in the dsc 280 specs. The 12 hi refers to the option the unit has to set a 12 dB per octave hi shelving filter on the output.

its mentioned here in the below link. I’d take a look at the manual it probably goes into more detail.
