Kits arrived from Vista, found a cabinet maker
from US Audio Mart.

Im pleased. The 2105 cut out at 4 3/8 seems
spacy, buts it’s the same on the L88 plus

i will assemble soon

The L100t sub enclosure for the le5 is to
large in diameter for the 4315s, I had ro
remove the sub-enclosure from the l88 plus
which fit perfect, the l88 plus can also
utilize the larger L100t enclosure.

The carpenter cut the rear cut out for the
terminal plates to large for the original
3114 plates, so I’m using 1/2 B.B.

So far every joint is gaping, the bottom and tops are
not flush with the sides I would not
be able to veneer them w/o sending out
to a professional shop first to flush everything up

i paid $800.00, $500.00 for the cabinets & $300.00
flat packed from Cali,

im asking for the seller cut all panels again
and ship on his dime, or return $600.00

X#2 on the 4315 cabinets

i honestly feel the guy whom made these
did not test fit the cabinets, I’m not sure
how these got delivered in this condition

when end I asked for a test fit the response was
the joints were to tight and would not separate
bur was assured fit was perfect,

the carpenter had these in his shop for 5 months
my last day to file a claim on them is the 31st of October

That's a piss poor job. I'm amazed that you couldn't find a wood fabricator locally , that would have been better.

Can I make a suggestion , get yourself one of these

82666

and offer it up against the corners that should be 90 degrees. You will be able to take pics of that that will confirm your case.

Also if you measure diagonally both ways across a suspect panel if it is square both measurements will be the same. If it is skewed the measurements will be noticeably different.

the baffles are fine, all other panels on these cabinets
are problematic, I asked for the panels to be resawn
tested and shipped to me,

the next offer i fer I had was one from Canada
$750.00 no veneer plus whatever shipping is from
there,

$1000.00 from a Lansing member, plus the shipping
charge. I’m over $1000.00 already on two failed attempts
on cabinets

honestly I’m just not quite sure how these were mailed
to me after 5 months of construction

Do yersel a favour and do good accurate diagonal measurements ( In mm if you can ) and mark each panel up in chalk or pencil. Show us what you got.

I notice a lot of tearout on one of the edges also. that's a no no.

I would advise that you get your Card issuer to refuse payment.

Were the panels marked? I wouldn't expect them to be 100% interchangeable from box A to box B unless built by a master or CNC'd. Woeful material and construction, though.

Hope you can get a substantial refund and correct, or start over.

Parts a & b, I used the optimal pieces from the
12 cuts, those are as tight as I could assemble
all shipped parts,

TBH, I don’t feel these were test fitted,
a reasonable individual would have stood
behind their work... this project really seems
to be out of control.

So the seller wants me to return the cabinets he
made to him in Ca, and I’m supposed to pay the
return fees, I paid $300.00 exactly fedex ground to have them
shipped, to me. Loaded cabs from La, cost 230 according
to eBay for a pair. The seller asked for payment as a friend,
to which was declined, an asked for $15.00 in PayPal fees

we have another $400.00 payment that’s not been
released. It was for shipping an misc fee, which is in dispute
on PayPal.

I’m not arguing over money, so if the furniture repair
person says they are beyond fixing. I will return
them, as they don’t cost anywhere near what I was charged
to ship, and anticipate receiving the uncollected money
back.

Ship his junk plywood back to him and charge him $300

BTW that looks to me to be what we call sheathing ply. Low grade stuff.

Exactly. Did you specify Baltic Birch or marine/voidless plywood? If you did, he has breached his contract. If you didn't give him written specifics about material, construction, and dry fitting, I think you are screwed. He can prove he built and shipped to you , and in theory can come after you for funds he was not paid. That's unlikely though.

They are paid in full, 100% I used the baltic birch
for the cavity, pure bond denim, for insulation
poplar for, bracing.

The carpenter is arriving today
lets hope he can put them together.

I just am not keen to the fact after a 5 month
build process, this is what shipped in the mail
& not exactly sure why he asked to ship
him the materials back, stand by your work.

As far as I can see he will need to reduce everything by about 1/4" in order to square it all up. If he has a properly set up panel saw he will have all that material good to go in an hour or two.
Not the end of the world if you loose that 1/4

My estimated price to properly build the
cabs is $600.00 $300/ per,

i have that in writing,
usps or fedex ground back to the
seller is 30-35% less then I was
initially charged, ( added extra weight & inches )

the seller will accept cabinets back
he said he will build them, and sand them
but we had a “ conversation “ about labor.
Which led to them telling me once the are
built I have to pay for return shipping. The part of
the discussion that lost me was there.

Here were here the options I gave
build and ship back to me, you pay
sand, & level the panels flat ship
them back my way, you pay,

my last option was I can go in on a percentage
of the return shipping to me once they have been
remedied, but this is privy to visual knowledge
they have this time been built

im only asking for $600 back I paid $800

The seller did not want to really negotiate
he is paying return shipping, to which he was not
obligated to do.

Short story I said take em back verify their condition
Well take it from there

Was supposed to get a fedex return label printed
& emailed to me this afternoon, this was our agreement
on sat/sun.

11:00pm here est, called them a few times
they are claiming PayPal won’t let them
print the shipping label, I asked what
PayPal had to do with fedex, the response
was they are the ones who print the fedex
return slips.

So I have until the 11th to send these speakers back
For a refund.
Seller had an attitude now and has resorted
to just completely waiting my time,

bldozier

Tired of waiting, the seller has decided
not to follow through with communication
i shipped the B.B. back to them only
costed me $177.00 + the packaging services
which i paid

will reach out to joe Stewart,
