I took out the woofers in my newly aquired L112s for surround and coil repair. I had to pry carefully around the woofer and finally got them out. They both have white rubber seal rings that fit in a groove in the woofer frame. These seal to the front baffle. One of the seals is compromised due to incorrect installation from the factory (first time apart). It crossed over the frame for about 5 inches and is creased on both points where it crossed over (see pic). I'm not sure how critical this seal is. I can put it back correctly with 2 minor crease or I could also seal the creases with white silicone and put it together correctly (spanning and sealing the entire circumference) and never see them again.

Otherwise, I googled to see if there are replacements and could not locate any. I thought I'd check here first to see if anyone knows a source?

Thoughts?

Plain old neoprene o-ring material will do, just get something with a similar OD. Honestly they don't really do much. Some models use paper or cork gaskets. Cereal boxes have been used too.

I’ll give the boiling water a try. Hopefully it’ll get the molecules realigned.
Thanks for the idea.

I boiled the gasket and one kink is 98% gone, the other is much better (enough to seal if rotated correctly and even if it leaks it will be pin sized). Thanks for the great idea. I wonder if this crossed over gasket for 5" made any difference in sound as that section was open around the woofer? I wouldn't know as I bought with the surrounds gone and one coil was gone (in the opposite speaker). So when I get this gasket seal fixed it will be better than when it was new.......:D
