4312 Woofer Question

I have a pair of early 4312 monitors and the woofers need to be re-coned, there is a local guy selling a mint pair of 2202H woofers.

My question is, can I do a direct swap with the 2202H's in my 4312 monitors?

No there is a big difference in sensitivity and FS between the 2 drivers so a direct swap won't work. It's going to sound different and who knows what low end you are going to get with the new driver in a box that is not tuned for it. The 4312 woofer runs wide open so there is no crossover at all on the woofer.
