So I just received these from Viet Nam. Are they authentic or just very nice knock offs? I paid $700 US. They are anodized, not painted. Hence my suspicion. Dimensions are correct. 8146681467814688146981470TIA

I always thought the real ones were anodized? If they are fake it probably doesn't matter because they are so nice. I bought a black twisted up pair and painted them gold.

Are you building a pair of Hartsfields?

That sounds like a fun project

I love the industrial look some of these pieces give a project.

Keep us in the loop.

My vote goes for very nice knock offs.

Have been back there 3 times and I'm amazed by their copies.

I agree. They look too new. That said, if they are dimensionally accurate who cares!

Yes I agree as well. I could not resist buying them cuz they're so purdy. I already have a great oem pair of pro 2390. OTOH, is there an off chance these could be oem? Did JBL ever make anodized L5090 lenses?

I believe they were originally gold, however the horns should be black wrinkle finish not gray.

More importantly, have you compared them dimensionally with your originals?

WidgetYes, they appear to be identical. The horns could very well be oem. The gold lenses I've seen were painted gold, not anodized.
