Just reserected my 4344 clones, turned them on after a couple of years in storage and something was not quite right. First I thought it was the pot's rebalanced them using CLIO Pocket and it just didn't work. Didn't see it at first but the surrounds on the 2122's had completely degraded to just physicaly being there. So I realized I had to refoam them and after refoam they were back! The only thing I can think of was they were essentially acting as a big unterminated whizzer cone so if you hear somethings not right don't forget to check the surrounds. Surprised me that's for sure.

Thanks for the heads up.

Did you use Bo’s instructional guide?

Btw a few questions

What lead to you putting them in storage?
What prompted you to get them out of storage?

Do you still like them?

Hello Ian

Yes used Bo's method. The foam had turned into goo so it was dificult to clean and it stuck to everything! Once I got the Arrays up and running I really didn't have a set-up for them so they sat for several years. Once my son moved out I set-up another listening room upstairs in his old bedroom and found a new home for them. As far as still liking them well yeah! I always wanted a pair of large format JBL monitors and they are way to much fun to part with! Just glad I finally have a nice size room to put them in!
