Like some of the member know, I have bin working on my S9900 project for some years since I got S9900 enclosures from the factory in Denmark
I am almost there only few part missing, I am wondering if I should modified my enclosure and make them bigger (more volume) they are original 3.4 cu.ft.
I am thinking about 4.5 - 5 cu.ft.?

what do you think?

You might be better making new boxes rather than changing the appearance.

I will gladly take your S9900 boxes off you...Lol

I think the shipping will be expensive

I am only asking you people, I like to hear what you think, should I have them bigger?
there is more likely at I will have them like they are

Not sure how you would add 1.5 cubic feet to the cabinet - might end up with expensive firewood.

I suggest you listen to them first, I think you will be pleasantly surprised, they do have a lot of bass. :)

the 1500Al-1 woofer are very powerful, did you made A and B test between S9900 and S9800?

Assuming the desire of a larger box is driver my bass extension why not apply modest bass boost as the 1500 series drivers have surplus excursion capability

All the Japan product is designed lean in the bass to suit the Japanese market.

Orginal cabinets, add subs if you need deeper bass.

Stock cabinets with S2S subs are how mine are set up. Greg Timbers listened to them on a trio of occasions and gave them thumbs up. Crossover point to subs is set at 50 Hz.

I don't own a set of S9800s but I have 2235s in a 4344 and 2245s in a 4345 but the 1500AL-1s are still the best woofers in the house. I find the 2245s to be exponentially better than the 2235s and the 1500AL-1s are exponentially better than the 2245s. The 1500AL-1s are tight and fast, as others have mentioned if you need deeper bass add a sub-woofer.
