An american? member in the german HiFi-Forum whants to buy german Canton or Magnat speakers in the USA.
I said he should buy old JBL, Altec, Klipsch.... speakers in the USA.
Is it ok ??

He think's he's buying a piece of Switzerland. That's wy he likes Canton. By the way the new products of canton sound pretty nice. Magnat however ......... well let the dogs decide.

If he wants Magnat, he needs to find a pair of Dahlquist DQM-9s. IME, that's about the best-executed Magnet-driver-based system I've encountered.

Though, if he likes that, he would probably like a JBL 4312 as well. IMHO, very similar dynamic characteristics...
