2311 with 2310?

Why wouldn't this work? I love the looks of the 2310. I have 2309s but my living room is not a concert hall. They'd just be ultra 2308s, no?

Of course it would "work", just not as intended ("illuminating" a smaller portion of the backside of the lens).
I would expect a different pattern vs the 2309/10 combo... perhaps not as wide. If you like how it looks and
sounds, who's to say otherwise? :) (but I'd give it a good listen first, and measurements would be "fun" and
maybe educational).
