Hi,

id like to ask the forum if anyone has built
a scaled back 4350 using dual 12" drivers & a
10" mid or other sized mid. Just basically a scaled
back 4350...

can dual 12" drivers play as deep as the 15"?
The step up in cabinet dimension seems vast to
accommodate the larger format driver i.e. 4310, 4311,
4312, whilst the L77 seems to have almost the same
internal volume as the 43xx small profile speakers.

How deep (and at what volume) a driver can play depends on all of its TS parameters and not on size alone.
Also the 4310/4311/.. were hardly flat in the low range :-)

Maybe if you could locate two pairs of 122A or 123A drivers you could get a nice system going. These -could- be coupled to an 8" or 10" mid.. But one 15" still makes more sense to me in this configuration since it will be cheaper and likely require less volume than two 12".

Yes, I don't have any reasonable means for a driver shoot out,
aesthetics aslo will play some type of delivery, when the cabinets
are operational.

Their not dedicated to my home a may be moved, however proximity
requirements just won't allow 33" wide cabinets in my apartment in this
set up w/o sacrifice.

I figurded using the 2203x2 at twice the volume ( maybe less ) of that 4315
in keeping the width under or at 27"

from doing some calculations i think fir dual 12" 2203a a cabinet in the area of 168L or 5.93286 cubic ft taking into
account the 14L dog box for the 10" mid bass. 44 x 24 x 10 173.04 liter, maybe a bit deeper for bracing a damping figures. i like 40x28x10 as well 11200 cubic inches or 183.535L

heres an image of 2 L88 plus speakers on their sides stacked. they are together ( stacked ) 29" wide & measuring from the center of the mid chamber down is 19.5". or 39" squared. a interesting note is the center line of the L88P mid chamber runs transverse to to the center of the le20 in the L88 nova.

the 4351 is just about the height of two 4344 widths. the 4350 is 47.63" wide. the center line of the 4344 horn is just over 36" and the 4350 height is 35".
