A model of my DIY loudspeakers i have served Ti6k- JBL. My first contact with them, was in distant 2005.
I started working with them in 2009 and finished in 2012.
The loudspeakers are "SEAS"- Excel / Tw-1”, Mw-5”for center 2х 5.5”,Bass-8,5”/ and cross-over parts- "Intertechnik".
Nominal impedance- 8 OhFreguency Range 30Hz-20kHzCharacterstic Sensitivity(2,83V/1m)- 87db
Long Term-110W.

Beautiful work. I'm under the impression that these midbass drivers while extremely good sounding when used properly have some nasty breakup characteristics just beyond their normal operating range. How did you handle that? It seems most people use fairly steep crossovers to reduce their effect.

-Everything in this project-idea, design filters the overall workmanship of the cabinets to the last detail was done by my hands.

First did this "home-matrix";afetr, i bended 8 layers/ 4mm/ MDF.

After assembly, veneering with " Bird's Eye View", / "Bird's eye " veneer/;The finish is 35-40 layers of acrylic auto varnish and after each layer- polishing in order to obtain this:

For the internal volume what is the ratio of MDF to air? It looks like maybe a third of that cabinet is going to be filled with wood? Not that there’s anything wrong with that but that is going to be one heavy pair of speakers!

The Internal volume calculation with complex shape and internal ribbing of the speakers /pure volume ratio- ribbing /, i do after designing a pilot model of the project., I'll show you how i do that on rear loudspeakers project.
Yes, the speakers are getting heavy, but the idea of working this way is that I don't want to use acoustic insulation materials.
The weight of this matrix is 18 kg.

I will show you one of my projects, which I had to change basically right at the very beginning - the back speakers , let's go;
The loudspeakers are "SEAS"- Excel T25CF002 ", W18EX001- 6,5"
Everything is handmade, no "CNC" machine is used.


First I paint the model as I like it / I do not like the standard prisms / I don't use 3D programs. I'm an electrical engineer and
all I need is an idea, a pencil, mathematics, elementary geometry , a perspective view and that's it ...
We all know, what is the ideal shape for the speakers. For technological reasons, it is difficult to do, especially with three tape loudspeakers. I strive to make the second most effective form - the egg.
To begin with, I schematically design this way;
I calculate the approximate volume, how do I find the right volume, will show you later in my project .
