JBL 2203 recone kit

A friend of mine is trying to find a pair of JBL 2203 which as you know are almost un obtainable. Im wondering if there any recone kits out there or if there is someone who puts together one. Also if there is such a thing out there will it work in a 2202 or 2204 basket or is the top plate in the 2203 taller? I saw one after market kit but it had a cloth surround and said if you wanted to have a foam surround like the original you had to put it on your self. Sounds like a hack job to me

you kits from scratch. no worries.
