Hello everyone, just registered with the site so I can find some help to identify a pair of JBL Speakers. Want to be upfron and say I am a reseller looking to identify so I can sell these. I am located in Flint Hill, VA. These look like Sovereigns ? I can find many similar images but am not positive what set I have. They have a LX5 Crossover, inside are a LE15A and a PR15. The horn lens is L91. I removed all the screws from the back of the cabinet with the hope of seeing inside but the plywood back is firmly in place. Wasn't confident I could open it without damaging the plywood. The cabinets measure 36" wide, 18" deep, and 28" tall. Here is a link to the photos. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0IiTC-q_LkfNUlST2Y5Q09aSTQ

I believe those are C50 Olympus S7R. I think the Sovereign was in a differenly styled cabinet? Or maybe I got it backwards. But the same otherwise with the S7R load.

Olympus has the fretwork grilles, so this must be a Sovereign. On second look, a homebuilt version.

Definitely home-built and not really good copies. Worth what the components will bring.

I'm fairly close to you and I'm not interested—which should give you a pretty good idea of what you're up against!

Thanks for the replies. Do you think the entire cabinet is homemade or is it possible just the front grill section has been replaced? If the cabinet is not factory I will pull all the components to sell. It is always fun to open up vintage cabinets to see what is inside.

I can see no aspect of the cabinets that look to be factory JBL construction.

I am beginning the disassembly process on the cabinets. I added one last photo of the cabinet with the speakers removed. Will have the components listed for auction starting tonight on Ebay. Auctions will start at .99 with no reserve. Thanks again for everyone's help! Jim

Nice, seller made about $2000 in gross sales by parting these out.
