Hi guys,

Couple of questions about a 2441 driver unit I have which has a hole drilled into one side of it;

1. Would this hole make the driver defective?
2. Why would someone want to drill a hole into one of these?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Cheers

Can't really see anything in the picture ... dark on dark.
So - I saved it, opened in Photoshop, cranked the brightness wide open, and saved it here ...

No idea why someone would drill it, tho.

Do you own it yet?
if so, how does it play?

Probably in order to use some sort of support bracket-and possibly to allow for angle adjust
That, or a spot from which to hang all that weight
A bit extreme but the only thing I can think of
Are there two holes or just the one?

Thanks guys, yeah this is a driver I own. It's been tested and plays fine.
I think the idea that the hole is there to fix something to it is plausible

Or allow for an easy, quick working adjustment
I have seen it at an old movie theater and at an old live stage venue

I think you're onto to something there Tony, if you look closely there is also another little insert near the hole, could be for some sort of key to be inserted into. Now i'm wondering if it was delivered from the factory like this! :blink:
