I'm trying to built a 3 way, 136a, LE85, and 077. I bought a pair JBL LE85 one with red seals intact and the other no seals and looks like they try to open it as there was some paint missing around the holes. Anyway I opened and the diaphragm and looks to be original at less there are aftermarket diaphragm that looks exactly the same as the original. I also found the back foam deteriorating, do I need to replace it, the other driver's foam is probably the same. Also bought 2 N200B and are slightly different one has the cables going out through the top and the other through the front. Both Xover had like sand coming out of them. Do you know if JBL put like a sand type inside the crossovers. I also have the parts to build a N8000 Xover. Should I just build the N3133.
Thanks
Angel

I have decided to make my own crossover, Nelson Pass, I bought all I need it from Parts Express. The only thing I need now is to work on the cabinets, my table saw, Router, sanders, glue, you name it is waiting for the weekends. And then I still have a pair 175 with mash, H91 and a new old stock LX13, N1200, for another project, maybe together LE14H-3. The N200B will fade from the picture.
I only need to know if the diaphragm is JBL if not I'll have to find a donor. Please help with this one.
Thanks,
Angel

Most of the obvious non-stock clues are not present, so I would assume it is JBL.
Whether it still meets spec or not (e.g., would reasonably match another unit)... another story entirely.

Thank you, it look to me to be original, why the red seals were not present well is a mystery to me as the drivers and horns look impeccable, I'll post some pictures.

1) wax seals are overrated (and fall out).

2) Assuming the diaphragm is OEM, doesn't mean it is the original that came with the driver...
nor is that a bad thing, as they eventually wear out. 72940

Agree, maybe it was replace at one time with an original.
