Altec Lansing Model 17 604-8G for sale very cheap

I saw a pair for sale at what looks like a bargain price ($999) in bad condition boxes, but apparently they function well.

I thought someone here might be appreciate knowing about them. They are in Buffalo, NY.

A brief Google search showed the same models in good boxes for upwards of $6,550 to $7,550. The difference seems to be the condition of the boxes.

Anyway, thank me if you get them!

It seems to be for the pair-check the wording, I did.

The syntax in his comments indicates a single ("604-8G") and a pair ("these", "them", etc.) but he lists the quantity as "1" which to me means a single speaker. Maybe the quantity refers to 1 "pair", but if I were considering purchasing it/them I'd first have him confirm the quantity verbally.

Two of the photos in the ad show two cabinets. And the use of "these", "them", and "cabinets" (plural) really leaves little doubt. :dont-know:

I guess it's just the skeptic in me that's suspicious of potential rip-off artists. You guys are right, it looks like he probably does mean to sell a pair.

The seller has confirmed to me that it is a pair he is selling.
