Anybody using Adcom in their system. I just replaced my Crown K2 with an Adcom GFA545 mark 2. It sounds nice! Using the JBL L-65's. The L-36's are not being used.

Yes, I swapped out my Yamaha RX-V3000 (100 wpc) with an Adcom GFA-5500 (200 wpc) on a pair of L250's. I thought the sound is somewhat similar up to about 100wpc (the Adcom being a little cleaner sounding throughout) but it's that extra 100 wpc where the QUALITY of the sound coming out of the Adcom just crushes the Yamaha. It's not just cleaner sound but has WAY more authority over the clarity of the Yamaha. Kudos!

I use an Adcom ACE-515 Power Enhancer and sequencer to power-up my bi-amped 4345/Crown system.

After listening to my systems for 10+ years, my sons best buddy asked for advise on a starter system. After about a month we found a pair of very near mint L5's and then a 60 WPC Adcom with matching pre-amp tuner, $450 for all. He is shocked how it blows away his mom's $1000+ Bose cubelular deal!

Ah, I'm also using an Adcom GSF-4 (pair) speaker selector on my trusty ole Yamaha R9 (3 pair speaker) receiver. The R9 now powers an L250 and L1 on A+B and the C goes to the Adcom speaker selector which powers an L20T, L15, J216, and D38 in separate rooms.

Love the Adcom products, very reliable; however, their buttons are a little on the rambunctious side.

I'm going to receive the networks on Monday, at least that's what the tracking number says and it will probably take me a couple of days to get them set up to play.

I'm running a GFA-555 (mk1- the amp supposedly with Nelson Pass's hand in the design) and a GTP-500 mk2 preamp with my a/d/s L-1290's to good result.

This setup has also been used with the 250Ti's and had no complaints.

The only weirdness is the "fairy fart" the amp makes at power off, emptying the caps.

I also use Adcom ACE-515 Power Enhancer.
It was not so easy to rebuild it for 230V use as I thought.
But it works fine now.

If you upgrade the 4 resistors on the caps with 4.7ohm and 5W and bypass the AC side of the Bridge rectifier that will go away. It's a simple change.

Ooosh! Those 70 lb speakers set on those shelves makes me wince a bit. I always worry about particle board tensile strength.

I'm using a GFA 555 II for my 4430's. I previously had a Crest FA901 ( with fan) in there but the difference is night and day.
