2035HPL specs

Hello, I´m building cabs for this woofer but by reading the TS parameters the VAS one seems to be confused for me

What does mean the value 6.8? is it a mistake? should I take the same as the 2035H?
Meanwhile all the specs are similar, the VAS is clearly different

What should be the best cabinet volume for this woofer in order to get the more articulate and controlled bass (but not boomy)

Convert 6.8 cu' into litres ( and you'll see that the value in question starts to make sense ).

Hello, are you meaning cubic feet?, I don´t understand why the unit measurement isn´t in liters
It´s a hard different to the 2035H although I,ve read that both woofers are almost the same

MMS is also non-uniformly listed in kg (I assume).

I would guess the "2035HPL" line in the JBL T/S file was added by someone cutting/pasting info and not paying a lot of attention.
As it appears the -1 version was a real change, and (ignoring units issues), this -might- have resulted in a parameter change.
So, perhaps the "-1" got hacked off in the 2012 version of the T/S table... note that there are two different cone kits.

I need reliable data because they are keypoints for designing the baffle

Lol, call JBLpro about their reliable data.

Frankly, you can't be "sure" without a good independent measurement (perhaps someone else has),
or just use the 2035H data if you know you don't have the HPL-1 version. The 2035H was used in
cabinets intended for the 2226, so if the pertinent numbers are way off, they're probably wrong
(other than the lighter cone, weaker mag).

You'll probably want to fine tune the cabinet anyway, so presume a longer port than required to start.

Letting Vas and BL "float" to the values shown (so they are not contradictory with the other numbers)
the difference in a 5ft3 cabinet is not large.

lighter cone, weaker motor, and critically, utilizes a shorting sleeve for wonderfully low Le and associated distortion. The 2035h, on paper, is a better choice of home woofer, where you don't need the higher power handling. Easier to work with, particularly if you're using passive crossovers.
