View Full Version : LX-5 network connection for S-7 system
Dear all,
I bought a 1959 S-7 olympus and found the connection of network is:
pin1 (LF + green) pin2 (LF - black) pin3 (HF + red) pin4 (HF - black)
I also bought a LX-7 that the pin 2 and 3 coonected with black wires.
Anyone know the correct connection of them?
Thanks.
Alex :)

HF leads are reversed on Olympus S7 system, yes. Red to #3, Black to #4. It is to compensate for phase delay due to driver offsets, presumably, about the crossover frequency.
There's no harm in wiring them either way; instructions said "as you prefer," basically, according to listening performance. It just moves the phase cancellation lobes around....
