If I wanted to add a second 2405/077 to sit atop the cabinet (L300 clone in a lowboy cabinet), would there be any sonic ramifications if I just duplicated the tweeter portion of the internal crossover, wired that circuit to the external tweeter right from the main in, and turn the L-pad on the internal tweeter all the way down to mute that tweeter?

This would save me from going into the cabinet to modify the existing crossovers and putting new holes in the cabinet to bring out the internal wiring. Seems like it should be OK.

Thanks

If your amp won't mind the extra parts in parallel, then electrically, it shouldn't matter.
Personally, I'd be happier with a switch.
