I have a 2215B basket to be reconed, does C8RLE15B recone fit it? If I remember correctly 2215 is the pro version of LE15, so they have the same structure, is it right? Thx and best regards.

The short answer is I don't think so, but it really depends on what you want. I'm doing this from memory; if I get a detail wrong I hope someone will correct me, because this is the most confusing of JBL model designations. The pro division 2215 is the equivalent of the LE15A (8.8 ohm DCR, nominally 16 ohm impedance, foam surround). The really early LE15 (no letter) also the same. The differentiated 2215A and 2215B are foam surround 8 and 16 ohm respectively. The LE15B was the woofer in the L200, is 4-6 ohm impedance and has an accordion surround. A very different woofer. Why the kit you mention is called 8 ohm I don't know. What does the kit in question look like? The pro division equivalent was called the 2216, not to be confused with the 2216ND of the M2. It must be said that for a long period JBL's impedance designations were sometimes a term of art, not technical precision. The move to regularize in some cases led to additional confusion.

Thx for your reply, I didn't see the kit, but it should be as you say with accordian surrounds, not foam, and this is what I want. For what I remember LE15 and 2215 use the same motor and frame, so it should work, of course is a completely different speaker, but for what I need it will be fine.
