Very cool. I did eight filter caps in my Levinson No.331 a couple of weeks ago. My hand is still healing, no way was it any fun!:(:(:(

any idea on how to fix my SAE tuner ?

the LED display is stuck on 1 frequency, but it does tune ok,
just the display and actual are not synched.

Hi Seawolf!
Hard to say just like that but recapping will not hurt!

Did they start spitting out black goo? I saw a 332 with that problem, man that thing was full of sticky tar that came out of the caps.
They are very packed and at 60kg a nightmare to move around with all those sharp fins around.

No, they weren't yet leaking. Maybe I caught it early. As soon as I heard a hum on start-up, I shut it down and ordered the eight replacements from Newark.

Yes, the 33x series were designed to sound good first and be serviced second. But I love them. They are known to suffer from capacitor failures. I think I was lucky, mine lasted 19 years!
