upgrading slant plates 2395 part1

Hi folks,
Little contribution to the nice forum here for DIY project(s),i have 2 projects currently for upgrading those .
Any comments/advise are welcome.I strongly prefer upgrading with original parts ,and with a great respect of all these superb JBL-vintage products.

I think Lee in Montreal restored a pair of those a while back, maybe he'll have some pointers.

cleaning those plates ...can be difficult (afther 35 years service),but with a good dose of patience ....

Back-assembly of first 2395 painted parts...only clean-glue the logo and finish.
