I've got a Sansui 9090 that I have had for years and have decided, this is the one I want to keep and refurbish.
I'm going to recap -- but should be able to handle that one OK.

But, I do need to re-veneer or buy a a replacement cabinet.

Is there anyone out there that builds cabinets for the 9090 or has a re-veneering service?

Thanks,

Rick

sounds like a fun project. Just be careful soldering as this old gear uses compressed paper PCB and is known for lifting traces. This would also be a perfect beginner veneer project. Use the heat activated glue that you use with a regular clothing iron. It would be a pretty easy job.

There's lots of sites with instruction on veneer application. A small surface isn't too tough to cut your teeth on and would probably only take a few hours at most.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice -- I'll take a look into it.
I'll post a pic when finished with the refurbishing/reveneering.
