I have been using the DIY Lampizator P17 speakers for a few years now, but I have been wanting to upgrade to something even better. As I like the P17s I thought I would follow the same guy but one of his more favoured designs, the P23

A while ago I managed to source the Altec 420A dual coned drivers and had them shipped to me in the UK. I also sourced the Altec 806-8A horn tweeters. As the Altec woofer will be quite expensive I thought of using the Eminence Alpha 15 that I already have in my existing speakers, I know it's different to what is specified in this design but I am not wanting to spend too much more, and I also plan to use just one bass driver per side not the two per side.
So I guess my question is really, if you can filter out the guys waffle in his DIY thread.
A) Do you think this is a good design.
B) How would I change the xover to accommodate the Eminence 15 and only one per side.
ANY advice would be appreciated.
