Thank you.
Can anyone tell me why the 454mm depth is including the grill.
Is the depth of all measurments from this era, with the grill.
Included. I've read depth to be for that specific cabinet, at 383mm.

Thanks.

I don't understand the question at all.
It about how they measure it or about how big they build it.

Umm, because that's how it's sold??

Sort of like asking why the shipping weight includes the box and internal packing materials. :dont-know:

I felt it odd to do the final measurments this way, I feel its black and white, my foot size is 10 my shoe size is 10,
Although the "total" shoe is larger then 10, its still being advertised as a ten.

Next you'll expect a 12-inch speaker to actually measure 12-inches??

Shouldn't it be the complete speakers maximum external dimensions? This would include the grill assembly.

If one was going to soffit mount them (the reason real large format studio monitors have the ports in the front) or otherwise fit them precisely into a building structure, the accurate overall external dimensions are the critical ones.

Maybe I don't understand the question?

Barry.

Haha right?

Actually they do, the outside diameter of the gasket register. At least on the JBL cast basket drivers I have.

Why there? No idea.

Yup, from my understanding the grills from the jbl company were constructed of a solid piece of mdf. Thus anding the external overall dimensions. Far how they are played I guess I guess this is to user spec.
Thanks for the the clarification.
