Hello! After some changes i did on my hifi system i need some help from all the pro here for my new crossovers. The speakers i use are the JBL 4560 loaded with k140 woofers, jbl 2445j hf drivers with 2365 horns and 2404 tweeters ( i hope to find some slots or bullets!bullets). So i need your recommendations for the crossover points! For now the system is too bright (no l pads) so i need something smooth in sound! I mostly listen to jazz.

Hi;

I can't quite see what you have for electronics. I think I see an integrated amp, a tube amp and something in black that may be an integrated amp or an electronic crossover possibly?

What have you employed for a crossover and does it have EQ ability? Also is this system bi-amped or tri-amped? Where do you have the crossover points set now?

I love the 2360's and 2365's and they can sound amazing but they need signal shaping to do so. Their sweet spot (to me) is between 500Hz - 8kHz, same with the 2445.

Do your 2445's have the original type smooth Ti diaphragms or something else?

A lot of questions I know. :)

Barry.

Passive system. The preamp is a GAS theadra, the power amp is a sound valves vta 70. For now the woofers work uncrossed. For mid and highs cant remember the points. Yeap the 2445 are total original

Passive? 3115a + N8000/3105 + 1/3 oct eq
I had that in my living room for awhile (w/o the tweeter)... Was really fun with certain recordings, but too easy to play stupid loud and I had kids in the house.

Any recommendations?

Yup. Get a digital crossover. That would to easily set crossover points, slope and type of crossing. EQ each driver independently. Delay your drivers etc. With your 2365, you can run your system in two-ways. Just CD eq the 2365. I run my 2365 from 500Hz and up...

BTW Your sound is mostly too brillant because of the e140 and its aluminum dome.
