Does anyone know if the upper and lower hornlips of JBL Everest are idential or not? (or at least if they are interchangable)They have seperate part no, so probably they differ some but maybe Close enough sto I can use 2xlower lips instead of lower/up?(the reason for asking is that only lower is available from JBL)65968

They are indeed different but the business surfaces are the same.

If you recall the clones that Guido built, the pictures look to me like the top horn lip is flat on top like the JBL lower ones are on the bottom where the grill cover meets it. The JBL top lip has a top profile similar but not identical the inside profile.

If you have the lips avilable, could you please take a picture of both parts?

Do you think it would be possible to use lower lips both places except that it may look 100% oem?

Probable.

Here is a bit of irony, I have JBL uppers but not lowers.

You say the lowers are available? I have no connection other than Pro so I have to figure out how to buy a pair of lowers if they will sell them to me.

We are still missing some pieces of this puzzle.

Barry.

The original upper lip is a bit angled to avoid interference with the supertweeter.
Well as the supertweeter kicks in at around 19kHz I hear no problems with my version where the upper lip is just flat on top (same than lower lip)
I'm "almost" sure that the inside profile is the same.
