Differences in the XPL160 and XPL160A models?

I just picked up the set of XPL160A's that went on ebay recently and have seen some discussion about the XPL line in the forum. Can anyone explain to me what the differences are, if any, between the XPL160 and XPL160A models. By the way love these speakers! :D

The A version used the 093Ti midrange transducer and 046Ti-1 high frequency transducer with copper clad aluminum wire while the earlier version used the 095Ti and 046Ti transducers.

You've got a great pair of JBL speakers there - what are you using to drive them ? I have the XPL140's and I can tell you from experience that they really come alive when you bi-amp them. They also benefit from some experimentation in terms of room placement so don't be afraid to move them around.

I am pushing them with the new Denon 3805 reciever. I haven't bi-amped them yet but plan to as the 3805 does allow this configuration. It is rated a modest 120WPC, and pushes them pretty good without the bi-amp right now. I replaced a set of L45's I was using as fronts with the XPL160's. I was lacking in the mid and high range with the L45's and can definantely say the 160's are a noticeable change. I am running LX22's as surrounds and a Klipsch KV3 as a center channel. The 160's blend much better with the center and surrounds as compared to the L45's.
