2405 JBL Replacement Diaphragm

Needed replacement diaphragms for a pair of 4333B's. Ordered official JBL replacements. One could not be installed due to a poorly made voice coil and former. When I compared the replacement diaphragm to the old originals, made in March of 1980, it became obvious that the quality was very poor in comparison. The new ones said "Made in Mexico". Does anyone know of a good quality replacement, because the JBL's that I received are pretty much unusable?

The first ones made in Mex were terrible. The ones I have bought in the last couple of years have been just fine.

Makes me wonder if you just got some of the old ones. When were yours made?

Should return them until they're right. JBL should stand behind their products as well as the replacement items. Sometimes a pain, but persistence usually works out. Unfortunate that these reached distribution and end users at all.

Thank's JBL Seniors. There were no dates on them. I am going to contact the retailer and JBL Monday.
