L110 tweeter control issue

My one tweeter control goes from 0 (off) to almost 100% in less than an 1/8" when turned. Is this control broken or is it a bad capacitor, etc.? If the control is broken does it need to be replaced and are the controls hard to find?

Sounds like a dirty pot.

Try turning it several times back and forth throughout it's range (-5 to +5). If that doesn't cure the problem and it's difficult to turn or hangs up in places, the pot. may be defective.
