I would like to welcome to the forum and join to the group of jbl lovers whith my xpl200.
I must say, they are great sounding speakers :).

I've owned the XPL90 in the past, nice speakers. Not much of deep bass but very decent dynamics.

I understand that the better and more powerful amplifier is best for them ?
At this moment the speakers are driven by an old NAD 3400 monitor series, probably a little too weak but it is very musical what I like very much.
Could you suggest a good amp that should pull out all the best of these speakers, I will be very grateful.

Of course I know that the best option for those speakers, is biamping but finding a dx-1 in Europe is impossible.
In addition I'm looking DX-1 card dedicated to xpl200, if I could find it I would be able to build a complete dx-1.
Probably it would be the first dx-1 in Europe and the first such system based on it.

If someone has a card like this, or knows who may have please let me know.

Hi Krystian,

I already saw some DX-1 around in Germany and the Benelux however they never had the cards I wanted. I think that the easiest way for you would be to but a piece of DIY pcb and solder your own cards (or let someone do it). :)

Good to know, I have never seen dx-1 in Europe , apparently you had more luck than me :), not to mention about the card for xpl200.
I know that making this card by self is the fastest and cheapest way to completion dx-1. Unfortunately, I can not do this by my self but I have someone who could do this for me , I also managed to capture schemes thanks to this forum.

Some day I will tell you the story how I got these lovely speakers, to be onest I was looking for comletely diferent type of speakers but when I heard them for the first time I knew that I have to have them, and I have them:):)

That's good news, the cards shouldn't be that difficult to make.

I don't know much about the DX-1 but if it uses electrolytic capacitors in the signal path, it should make a very nice improvement if you replace them with something better like Elna Silmic II or Muse KZ series from Nichicon for example.

I have to admit that I bought my 4343's without any listening (yes, €3500 speakers paid forward without listening :D).
No clue why I did that but I just saw them on one of Kenrick's videos on Youtube and I thought - I want 'em too!!!
I also owned the 4311A's before but they have nothing in common with the big 4 way monitors.
Their industrial look also did it for me...

The look of the 4343 is very attractive but I would call it professional.
