Hello,

I am hoping the experts here can help. I have a pari of A5's 16Ohm (Hiraga type crossover). My tube amp has 4 and 8 ohm.

Does it bennefit the sonics for me to get a pair of zeroformers to reduce the impediance from my speakers to 8 ohm?

The zeroformers are generally used to multiply the impediance and do not know if using it to devide the impedance would make any positive

difference top the sound.

Thanks!!

Simon

(1) P = U * I
(2) U = R * I ->
(2a) I = U / R -> substituted into (1) ->
(1a) P = U**2 / R

Power will be halved, which is a loss of 3 dB.

Sonics will not be affected. The speaker simply draws less current.
