My latest creations are up and running, here's one:

63487

The woofers flanking the 511 are SEAS W18E001s, crossed at 800Hz. The 511 is using a TAD TD-2002 driver. The 15" in the module holding everything up is a Dayton RSS390HF-4, crossed at 60Hz, and EQd flat down to 20Hz.

The idea is that the MTM arrangement more or less eliminates the 511 pattern flip; the vertical dispersion narrows to about 50 degrees at 500Hz and stays near there to about 8kHz, where the 511 beamwidth starts to fall.

Pretty cool, I always thought it would be fun to bolt up a TAD 2002 to a 511. How does it all sound to you?

Very, very clean and revealing. It took a while to get everything tweaked in, but it was worth it. The timbre of the SEAS and the TAD are a good match. With the previous Peerless woofers I had a series resistor to the horn to match timbre, otherwise the horn stuck out; but with the SEAS that resistor is no longer necessary or desirable. The TAD is driven directly from the output of the J2, and the resolution is doggone impressive.
