Altec Model 15 - foam grille thickness/depth

Greetings Lansing Heritage Community,

Does anyone have the actual thickness/depth of JUST THE ORIGINAL GRILL FOAM for an Altec Model 15? Not including the thickness of the metal grille surround - just the actual foam thickness/depth. Any information or technical drawings would be much appreciated. If anyone knows of someone that is re-manufacturing the foam inserts, could be helpful as well. I'm guessing it might be about an inch, but would like to make sure...

I use 1-1/2" for repros (foam grille only that attaches to masonite backer board). Furnished with or without horizontal cut for metal band - usually the original band is not reusable. Choice of colors.
