Hi all,

|So I got the foilcal off using the hair dryer...no problems.

But deep holes for the nut that holds the stem of the pot on are very narrow. I'm having a hard time finding a socket that is thin-walled enough to get at them.

Any suggestions from those who have 'been there'?

Thanks,

Warren

remove the board from the inside, then you have access to all of it

How do I do that without removing the 1/2" stem nut?

Find the right size flat head screw driver and wedge it carefully between the flat on the nut and the counter bore of the hole. Reach around to the back of the pot and turn it it loosen it. You might have to reposition the screw driver a few times but it will work. I used this on a pair of 4435's successfully and didn't have to remove the foilcals.

I figured out what you meant, thanks. My board was still stuck when all the screws were removed so I assumed that the nut must have to be removed to get the board out.

Cheers,

Looks like one slipped past QC. I can concur; it is indeed intermittent.
