Hallo

Maybe you will find this speaker too small, but it should have a good sound and "bottom" despite its small woofer.
I found them cheap (they were painted sliver) and last step is to provide them with oil and new suspension.

It is great too see other DIY projects, so here is mine. I dream one day to own a pair of L300 Summit.
More pictures to come.

Best Hi-Fi regards from Denmark.

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Your speakers look like they are cleaning up nicely already. How did you remove the paint, chemicals or sandpaper?
I had a set a few years ago and found them to be pleasant listening and plenty for a medium to small size room.

Hi Aron

I did it with sandpaper, no problem and it went off pretty easily.

So it all went fine. Paint off and new foamrings. I think they sound very well. Lots of bas, which i like.
The midrange is very fina as well, but the tweeter could be a little more detailed in my opinion.
They play with a Sansui AU-717, a fine partner.
Have a nice weekend.

Re the 033 tweets , if memory serves me they had a foam damper behind the dome that was often disintegrated with age. I could be mistaken but that is often the cause of the tweet's not sounding so good.

I think you can drop in 034/034ti with a little woodwork.

Great save on the cabinets , looking very fresh now.

I have a pair of L-110's that are just about perfect condition and just
need refoaming. Thot the LF was a 10, but 10 inch surround is too big,
but LF is larger than an 8.

What size is it ? 9 ? Need some special surround ?

I have a pair of 033 diaphragms if you need them but alas I am in the US. :(

Good luck!! :)

Got mine from Rick Cobb. Le10/le111 measure the outside of the cone and he will get you the right foam.

I have a good stock of 12/10/8's here and know what they cost. None of the standard ones fit the L110 lf driver.

Just resist paying for expensive odd size ones if avoidable,,,,,,, is why I asked.

Yes, I did buy the foams for the LE14-H1's from Rick and he was fine.

Beautiful! Nice work!
Congratulations!

But how did you wind up with two different colors on your grilles?

I've been using surrounds from Rick on several JBL 10 inch and they fit perfectly.

+1 on Rick Cobb for the foams.

Also, an 035Ti fits the tweeter cutout, but protrudes a little, plus it has 4 screws not 3. I'm running a Ti dome in mine. I used a set of 4410A XO, mids and tweets, and love them even more than before.

The grille cloth in each of them is black, it's the lighting that makes them appear to be different colors.

Nice job there, High Sky!!

Hi there

The reason why the grills looks like two different coulors, is just because one of the pictures is taken in the morning and the other in the evening.
According to the fit of the foam ring, they where made costum and send from Holland to Denmark. But there were cheap and I got a really fine service.

After the have played a couple of days and I tuned the tweeter on the regulator, they sounds absolutly great.
Right now I am hearing Joe Pass/Red Mitchell "Finally" Recorded live from Stockholm.......Damn it sounds like this recording was made for the L110.

Have a nice weekend

I considered that as well before asking the question
But the difference between those two at least when viewed on my monitor is so radically dissimilar; two entirely different colors (actually 3)

The first shot looks black then blue then brown

So, what color are your grilles?

Hello Wagner

The grills are black
